“Take only memories, Leave only footprints”
Sri Lanka’s landscape and wildlife are two of its most precious elements. Without either, Sri Lanka would not be what it is today. With increasing numbers of tourists and the threat this brings to nature, we are acutely aware of how important it is to support and promote the environment in the regions we operate.
How we try to make our operation environmentally responsible:
The main parks are over crowed and this human impact is damaging these sensitive areas. Therefore we believe in designing itineraries that, where possible, support private conservancies, sanctuaries or community projects and therefore support innovative projects that are conserving new protected areas.
We support local community based projects, Educating the local community and direct income from tourism to those communities, leads to a better understanding of the importance of preserving their environment and culture.

Continuously researching and revisiting, we carefully select accommodations on our routes. Wherever we can, we use Eco friendly camps and lodges, where management acts responsible to the environment and local communities in all the ways possible. We give priority to smaller camps and lodges, providing more personal experience to our clients.
Sri Lankan wildlife department – We support the wildlife department by helping to look out for suspicious behavior or poaching within the parks. Hunting poses a massive threat to Sri Lankan wildlife and we are doing everything we can to stop these barbaric practices and protect our animals and environment.
Our aims include:
- We work hand-in-hand with the local community.
- Our drivers have been handpicked from the local community.
- Fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and other provisions are sourced from local suppliers.
- Where possible equipment is manufactured and maintained within the local area including the use of local welders, mechanics, and garages.
- Educating and helping the local community
